Give clients clarity on their IT, from risks to roadmaps
Clients see their compliance status, shared risks, technology plans, budgets and published reports in one branded portal. Your vCIO team works from the same synced data to plan next steps and follow up on the gaps that affect them.

What your clients get from your vCIO service
Explore the planning, reporting and follow-up behind your clients' portal.
Compliance
Scores, checks and evidence for every client, ready when they ask where they stand.
Risk
A risk register with likelihood, impact and a treatment plan for each gap.
Roadmaps and budgets
Quarterly roadmaps with costs and hours that flow into approved budgets.
Automated reports
Scheduled reports and AI-drafted QBRs, with an optional approval step before they send.
Financial reporting
Revenue, support hours and seat counts for every client, graded A to F.
Client health
Early warning on clients who may leave, while there's time to fix it.
Compliance
Answer compliance questions with evidence
When a client asks where they stand, the answer is already in their portal. Import CIS Benchmarks, NIS2 and best-practice playbooks, or describe what you need and AI drafts checks for you to approve.
- Weighted scores map to an A to F grade you configure
- Evidence, notes and shared files sit on each check
- Clients see their score, failed checks and the risks you choose to share
Risk
Analyze risk and plan the fix
Turn a failed check into a risk with likelihood and impact scores, a treatment plan and linked remediation work. The risk matrix shows which exposures matter most, so the client conversation starts with priorities instead of a long list.
- Open a ticket, Planner item or risk straight from a failed check
- AI drafts a client-ready note with business impact and remediation steps for your review
- Risk matrix and exposure trend widgets for dashboards and reports
Roadmaps and budgets
Build roadmaps and budgets that stay connected
Plan projects, upgrades and renewals on a monthly, quarterly or yearly timeline, with costs and hours on every item. Add roadmap items to a budget, and each budget line keeps a link to the work it pays for.
- Clients see the roadmap items you mark as visible to them
- Forecast each spending category up to five years ahead
- Approved budgets track against invoices from ConnectWise, Autotask or HaloPSA
Automated reports
Send reports and QBRs on a schedule
Build reports from 90+ blocks covering tickets, devices, compliance, Microsoft 365, security and budgets, or have AI draft a full QBR with its sources cited. Schedule each report weekly, monthly or quarterly at the client's local time.
- Turn on approval to hold each scheduled run until someone on your team signs off
- Published reports appear in the client's portal, and drafts stay hidden
- Present a report as slides in the meeting, then turn the transcript into notes and action items
Financial reporting
Find out which clients are costing you money
Financial Reporting combines revenue from your PSA with support hours and seat or endpoint counts. It calculates each client's effective hourly rate and all-in seat price, then grades the account from A to F. Underpriced agreements stand out, so you can reprice them at renewal. It stays internal to your team.
- Monthly revenue split into managed recurring, other recurring and non-recurring
- Support hours and reactive hours per endpoint for each client
- A grade appears only when there is enough data behind it
Client health
Spot at-risk clients before they leave
Client Health scores each client from 0 to 100 across service, engagement, financial, sales, projects, standards, environment and operations. A 180-day trend and the dimensions pulling a score down show you where to look first. Falling scores flag the relationships to fix before the client starts looking elsewhere.
- Risk levels and a list of the companies that need attention now
- A standards matrix shows which clients are missing tools from your stack
- Health scores are internal, and client users can't see them

“MSPortal is hands down the best vCIO and Customer Experience platform we've ever used. Kevin and his team made the onboarding process simple, and within 30 days we had a fully functioning TBR program after spending years trying to get one off the ground. The platform is packed with value, easy to implement, and extremely affordable. I genuinely wish MSPortal had been around years ago.”
What does a vCIO use MSPortal for?
Compliance tracking, risk management, IT roadmaps, budgets and forecasts, scheduled client reports and QBRs, financial reporting and client health scoring. Clients reach the parts you share through the same branded portal they use for tickets.
Which parts can clients see?
Clients see what you share with their role: roadmap items marked visible, budgets, compliance scores and checks, risks you approve for them, dashboards and published reports. Financial Reporting and Client Health stay internal to your team.
Where does the data come from?
MSPortal syncs tickets, invoices, devices and other records from your PSA, RMM, Microsoft 365, backup and security tools. Reports, scores and grades use the latest sync, so a number can trail the source tool by one sync cycle.
Does AI publish anything without review?
Only scheduled reports can, and only when approval is off. AI drafts of compliance checks, Planner items and risk notes wait for your team to review and apply them. A scheduled report, including one AI writes, publishes or sends on its own unless you turn on approval for that schedule.
Can MSPortal replace a dedicated vCIO tool?
MSPortal covers the compliance, planning, budgeting and reporting work that dedicated vCIO tools handle, alongside ticketing, projects and a client portal. Compare the workflows, integrations and client permissions you rely on before you switch.
