Problems We Solve Every Day

The Problem

No clear record of what was approved, what changed, and who signed off on budget decisions

Every budget version is tracked with full history, so clients always know exactly what was agreed to

The Outcome

Complete confidence that the IT budget reflects what was actually discussed and approved

No more second-guessing what was agreed to. The paper trail speaks for itself

The Problem

Budget proposals that don't reflect the actual IT projects being recommended

With one click, planned projects from the IT roadmap populate the budget, so proposals always match the plan

The Outcome

What's recommended and what shows up in the budget are always aligned. No surprises

Clients trust the process because the plan and the numbers always match

The Problem

Manually building budgets from scratch every cycle instead of leveraging your existing roadmap

Use automation tools to turn renewals into planner items that flow directly into your budget

The Outcome

Budgets build themselves from your roadmap. Spend time advising clients, not wrangling spreadsheets

Your team spends time on strategy instead of data entry

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Budget Management in MSPortal

How do budgets connect to the roadmap planner?

Use Import from Planner to bring eligible planned costs into a budget. Review the imported line items before saving. Later roadmap changes do not silently rewrite an approved budget.

How do automation tools help with budgeting?

Renewal planning and budget import reduce re-entry. You choose the items and review the resulting dates, categories and costs; a forecast has separate Sync from Budget and Sync from Planner controls.

Can clients see and approve budgets?

Users with the required company access and budget permissions can review budgets and perform permitted approval actions. Approval locks the budget as a baseline.

What happens when a budget is approved?

An approved budget is locked. To revise the plan, use Duplicate and work on the copy. MSPortal does not automatically create a new version for each later edit.
